Hope Dueck

Hope Anne Dueck, 54, passed away Tuesday September 23, 2025, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born Jan 23, 1971, in Anchorage, Alaska to Jim and Faith Brickman.

She is preceded in death by her brothers: Jeffery and John Brickman; and her daughter Katya Rose Dueck.

She is survived by her husband Paul Dueck; her children: Todd, Charity, Kristina, and Chad; her parents; chosen sister Monica Orr; brother Paul Brickman; and chosen brother Dan Bobo.

Hope Anne loved growing flowers, “happy shoes”, the color red, unsweetened iced tea, and roses. She had the remarkable ability to connect with people and to bring about action for many charitable causes, especially those for children from hard backgrounds. Hope Anne fundraised for adoptions, arranged medical trips for orphans in Ukraine, provided eyeglasses to blind orphans in Russia, sewed and filled pillowcases for children in the care of CPS, and worked as a victim’s advocate for survivors of sexual abuse with her organization A Better Way, even appearing on “Sins of the Amish”. She attended church at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Zanesville, where she walked with God.

A Memorial service will be held at 2PM, Saturday September 27, 2025, at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 545 Richey Road, Zanesville, OH 43701.
