I-70 Bridge Work in Muskingum County

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced Thursday  a bridge project will take place on Interstate 70 in Muskingum County.

Crews will begin work next Wednesday, June 1st on the Rix Mills Road bridge over I-70.

Officials say Rix Mills Road will close for 77 days for the bridge replacement and that lane closures on I-70 may be necessary during the current bridge deck removal.

During the Rix Mills Road closure traffic will be detoured via Pleasant Hill Road to Sunflower Road to State Route 83 to U.S. 22 to Rix Mills Road and reverse.
