I-70 West Traffic Alert

A semi accident is under investigation Tuesday morning. 

The accident took place just after 5 a.m. on Interstate 70 west near the Adamsville exit. 

Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene as well as the State Highway Patrol. 

Scanner indicates the driver suffered some lacerations due to the accident and was extricated from the vehicle. 

The Emergency Management Agency was also called as the fuel tank was leaking. 

A dispatcher with the patrol said the right lane of I-70 west is closed to traffic at this time.
