ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Renee Nicole Good was shot in the head by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer in Minneapolis on Wednesday, sparking protests across the country including right here in Zanesville.

Last night, at the Muskingum County Courthouse, over 50 county residents came to mourn the loss of Good and voice their opposition to ICE, and the broader actions of the Trump administration. Speakers at the event called upon those in attendance to voice their concerns by calling their congressmen, voting in elections, and participating in community protests like they did Thursday evening.

Among those who spoke at the event were Amy Underwood, local community leader and President of the Muskingum County Women’s Democratic Club, Kyle Johnson, President of the Muskingum County NAACP, and Pastor Keith Wyatt II of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church.
