Illini 400 Bike Team Stop 2026

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Illini 4000 Bike Team made a stop in Zanesville on Monday.

The Bike Team, from New York, NY, is on a journey to raise awareness, funds for cancer research, and patients battling the disease.

They began their ride on May 22nd and hope to complete their journey in San Francisco, CA, by August 8th.

The Team stopped at the Bethel Community Center to stay the night and were greeted by Board Member from Bethel, Zanesville Mayor Don Mason, as well as treated to a spaghetti dinner provided by Olive Garden.

During their visit, Illini 4000 members heard stories from those battling cancer here in our area and some of the struggles they have faced.

The team wrapped up the evening by preparing for the next day, from cleaning their bikes, planning their route, and some members even squeezed in a work out by completing a push up for every mile they had gone on Monday.

The Illini 4000 Bike Team left Bethel before dawn broke with their next stop being Columbus.
