Inmate Back Behind Bars
The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction announced late Monday night that a convicted murder who escaped from an Ohio prison over the weekend is back behind bars.
The Department announced the capture on both Facebook and Twitter that a joint task force captured John Modie without incident around 10:50p.m. in Nelsonville. No other information into his capture was released.
Modie was reported missing Sunday night after a prisoner count at the Hocking Unit of the Southeastern Correctional Complex in Nelsonville.
Modie was serving 18 years to life for convictions on murder, robbery and escape.
