Isabelle S. Mitchell (May 28, 1912 – January 5, 2011)

Isabelle S. Mitchell, 98, of Zanesville, died at 11:00 PM Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Adams Lane Care Center.

She was born May 28, 1912 in Muskingum County, OH to the late Valentine and Leota Kinney Adolph. Isabelle retired as a nurse’s aid from Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital and was a member of First Christian Church. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, playing cards, being a caregiver to whoever needed it and most of all spending time with her family who will always remember her sense of humor.

Surviving Isabelle are her daughters: Marilyn J. Roberts (Bob Baughman) of Zanesville and Dixie L. (Thomas) Woodward of Akron, grandchildren: Michael Mitchell, Jodi Higdon, Mark Mitchell, Jill Tinkham, Tom Woodward, Jean Fitz, Anne Woodward, Jacque Rock and Jocelyn Mc Farland, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins and a special great niece: Karen Adolph of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Harold R. Mitchell Sr., son: Harold R. Mitchell Jr., 3 brothers, 1 sister, daughter-in-law: Francie Mitchell and son-in-law: Harold Roberts.

Visitation will be 11:30 AM till time of service at 1:30 PM Saturday January 8, 2010 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. with Pastor Dawn Remster officiating. Committal service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
