J.T. Barrett Suspended After Arrest For OVI
Ohio State quaterback J.T. Barrett has been suspended for one game after being arrested early Saturday on charges of operating a vehicle under the influence near campus, according to the Associated Press. Barrett was cited at the scene and released. He will miss the Nov. 7 game against Minnesota, and Cardale Jones is expected to fill in under center.
Barrett is coming off a dazzling performance against Rutgers in which he completed 14-of-18 passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for 101 yards and two more scores. He has thrown for five touchdowns and no interceptions and rushed for four touchdowns since being named Ohio State’s starting quarterback prior to the Penn State game on Oct. 17.
The Buckeyes are on a bye this weekend.
