Jack Edward Wallace, 83 of Zanesville, passed away Tuesday March 16, 2010 at his residence.
Jack was born in Zanesville on December 29, 1926 to the late Purley Wallace and Lulu Harper Taylor. Jack was a member of the Amity Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, DAV, VFW, and The American Legion. He was a mold maker by trade and was retired from Zanesville Mold Shop. Jack served his country and protected our freedom as a member of The United States Navy and Air Force during WWII and The Korean War.
Jack is survived by son Jack Wallace II. of Texas; daughters Cindy (Arno) Price of Zanesville, and Karen Rittberger of Pickerington; grandchildren Jessica Price, Brittany Wallace, Natasha Wallace, Zack Wallace, Zane Wallace, Jay Rittberger, Katy Porter, and Sierra Smith; special friend and beloved caregiver Lynn Starr of Zanesville; and his faithful companion Betsy his dog.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son Bryan Donald Wallace; and daughter Caroline Kane.
Calling hours will be held on Friday March 19, 2010 from 5 pm to 8 pm at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 West Military Road, Zanesville, Ohio. There will also be a Masonic service held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 pm conducted by the members of The Amity Lodge. A graveside service will be held on Saturday March 20, 2010 at 10:45 am in The Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by The George Selsam VFW Post 1058.
