Jack Smith

Jack Allen Smith, 72, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark. He was born August 4, 1951, in Zanesville to the late George Emerson and Lura Ralph Smith.

Jack enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, loved to go fishing, junking scrap metal and yard sales.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, who he married May 20, 1970, Irma Rockwell Smith; daughter Misty Dawn Smith; a son Alan J. (Shawna) Smith; brothers: Michael E. Smith and Robert K. Smith; sisters: Linda K. Wheeler, Margaret E. Guthrie and Barbara A. Norris; four grandchildren: Alaina Bowen, Alicia Show, Amber Stiers and Colton Smith; eight great grandchildren: Rhett, Laythan, Kensley, Brieah, Sophia, Nova, Winston and Riverlyn; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Dave E. Smith, Larry R. Smith, Roger K. Smith and Doug Smith; and a sister Karen Clapper.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM on Tuesday February 6 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, and from 11 until time of service at 1pm on Wednesday, February 7, in the Snouffer Chapel. Entombment will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
