Jacklin S. “Jackie” Chesar age 68, of Cumberland, OH passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville, OH. She was born October 6, 1956 in Cambridge, OH daughter of the late Clyde “June” and Elizabeth “Dot” Smith Barnett.

She was a member of the Buffalo VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #8040. Jackie could often be found playing BINGO at the Senecaville Volunteer Fire Department for many years. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and never missed watching a game.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers Clyde “Kink” Barnett and Dave “Barney” Barnett as well as a sister-in-law Shari Chesar.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband George M. Chesar whom she married August 10, 1974; daughter Michelle (Brad) Durben of Cumberland; 2 step-grandchildren Ryann and Kylee Durben; four sisters Denise (Larry) Cross, Sandy (Ted) Gress, Leah Leek and Alley (Jeff) Hays all of Cumberland; brothers-in-law Richard (Helen) Chesar and Tim Chesar of all of Byesville, OH; sister-in-law Elaine Walters of Pleasant City, OH; nieces and nephews Scott Cross, Misty Reese, Craig Cross, Baylee and Austyn Leek, Eric Gress, Kristine Harper, Owen and Nevaeh Hays, Chris, Dave, and Kevin Chesar, Julie Foster, Angie Norman, Jimmy Bauer, Rob Chesar, and Brigit Neuhart; special aunt Kay “Honey” Dudley. She is also survived by a large extended family.
