James “Jamie” Swigert

James “Jamie” Charles Swigert, 68, of West Lafayette, went to be with the Lord, December 7, 2025, at his residence surrounded by family.
He was born May 25, 1957, in Coshocton, OH, son of the late, James Lyle Swigert and Ruth Ann McCune Swigert. Jamie graduated from Newcomerstown High School in 1975 and was in the United States Coast Guard for four years. He loved golfing, woodworking, and was a member of the North Salem Church in Kimbolton, OH, where he served as a Deacon.
Jamie was a proud husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife of twelve years, Vicki Husted Swigert; son Jamie (Jackie) Swigert; daughters, Tessa (Shaun) Surgenor, Keira (Corey) Rife; brother Steven (Lisa) Swigert; sister Kathy Bricker; grandchildren, Ethan Miller, Tristen Swigert, Collier Surgenor, Emma Mattson-Surgenor, Colson Rife, Crew Rife, Kamryn Rife; great-grandchild Walker Miller; several nieces, nephew, cousins, and many special friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at the North Salem Church, 71590 Old Twenty-One Rd, Kimbolton, OH 43749, with Pastor Bruce Colvin officiating.
