James (Jim) M. Durst, 56, of Roseville Ohio passed away on Friday, February 8th, 2024, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Jim was born on April 5th, 1967, in St. Louis, son of Mary Ethel and John Durst. Durst lived his life by 3 core values Faith, Family and Fast. He will forever be remembered by his kind spirit, big heart, and daredevil attitude; he was a warrior of God.

37 years ago, Jim married the love of his life Mary Lynn Durst and went on to adopt her 3 daughters: Jodi (John) Barnes, Jillian (Ryan) McNeal, and Jessica (Chad) DeMattei. He was a member of the Northgate Church of Dresden. Jim worked at Treadway Honda Suzuki Polaris with Mike and Vicki Treadway and as a mechanic at Dutro Auto in Zanesville for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lynn Durst; mother, Mary (Don) Ethel; father, John (Valerie) Durst; sisters, Jackie Cox, Carrie Edwards, Carin Taylor; brother, Jeff Durst; step-brother, Eric Ethell; daughters, Jodi (John) Barnes, Jillian (Ryan) McNeal, Jessica (Chad) DeMattei; grandchildren, Faith (Jason) Snider, Nik (Brittnee) Durst, Hunter Mohler, Jake (Kayla) Mohler, Hope Crawmer, Alivia DeMattei; great grandchildren, Eli Snider, Sophia Durst, Lane Snider, Logan Durst, Harper Mohler; nieces, Jessica (Mike) Gustafson, Christina Thompson; nephews, Josh (Jackie) Sullivan, Drake Durst, Jason (Shannon) Shoemaker, Sammy (Kari) Bryan, Maxton Bryan, McKinley North, Steven Taylor, Kevin Taylor, Dylan Taylor; great nephews, Aaron & Aden Sullivan, Oliver Gustafson, Huxley North; nieces, Kayla K. (Kodi) Moran, Keegan Moran, Kambria Moran, Jamie Lee Shoemaker; great niece, Nora Gustafson; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; ;  sister-in law, Lori (Sam) Bryan; special companion, Jax Durst.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Jim will be held at a later date.
