ZANESVILLE

James “Jim” H. Laudenbacher, 82, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at The Oaks at Northpointe. He was born October 25, 1939, in Zanesville to the late Carl and Ada Hall Laudenbacher. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and employed a custodian for Zanesville City Schools. Jim was a member of the Zanesville High School Athletic Boosters and helped cooked chicken at the fair. He also ran the concession stands at ZHS for many years with his daughter Lezley. He served our country and protected our freedom in the Army Reserve.

He is survived by his wife Virginia Spiker Laudenbacher; a son James Eric (Michelle) Laudenbacher; an honorary daughter Kristine York; sisters in law: Linda Laudenbacher, Donna Barclay, Catherine Barclay, Janice Spiker, Jane Smytheand Dixie Spiker; brothers in law: Joe Barclay, Roy Barclay, Irving Barclay, Donald Spiker and Jim Wilcox; several nieces and nephews; and many very special friends that are considered family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Lezley Laudenbacher; infant sons: Donald and Ronald; brothers: infant Gerald, David and John Laudenbacher; sisters in law: Martha Barclay Johnson, Margaret Barclay and Carol Wilcox; and brother in law: Clifford Spiker.

A memorial service will be held at 2PM Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 W. MILITARY ROAD with Pastor Tera Mitchell officiating.
