Janet Crawford

Janet Louise Crawford was called home on January 18th, 2025. She was born in 1957 in Summersville, West Virginia. She spent her younger years growing up surrounded by family on Crawford Hollow Road in Kessler Cross Lanes. Her parents moved to Massillon, Ohio for a job opportunity at Republic Steel. She went on to graduate from Washington High School. She was a hard worker that had to stay busy.
Janet was a beautiful free spirit, full of strength and fire. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her friends and family, listening to Joyce Meyer, and going on adventures with her companion, Rocky Mathers. Janet enjoyed volunteering, going to Bible study, attending church service, and having fellowship. Harvest House Church is where she found her home and was baptized. Throughout her life, she held on to her faith in God, which she shared with others. She had compassion and would try to help those around her. The valleys she endured only brought her closer to God and strengthened her faith.
Janet joins her father, Russell Crawford; mother, Nellie McLaughin; brother, Charles Crawford; sister, Glena Crawford; and grandson, John Michael Woods in Heaven.
She is survived by many loving family members, including her sister, Carolyn Kelly; two daughters, Melanie (Scott) Stanfill and Micah Crawford; two sons, Derek Weick and Travis Hookey; thirteen grandchildren, Jasmine, Keith, Ezekiel (Charity), Porsah, Elijah, Kaitlyn, Jamarai, Hannah, Destiny, Grace, Leilani, X’zavien, and Jakari; six great-grandchildren, Mylee, Paskal, Rylee, Everleigh, Kolton, and Kyreese all whom she loved dearly.
No calling hours will be observed.
A memorial service will be held at the Harvest Christian Fellowship (6060 Glenn Highway, Cambridge) on Saturday (February 22, 2025) at 1 p.m. Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, is handling arrangements.
