Janet Kay Reedy (September 5, 1937 – December 28, 2011)

Roseville-
Janet Kay Bartimus Reedy, 74, of Roseville, passed away at 9:47 A.M., Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. Janet was born Sept. 5, 1937 in New Lexington to Mary Madeline Lantz Bartimus and the late Kenneth L. Bartimus.
Janet graduated from Deavertown High School and earned degrees in teaching. She taught in Deavertown Grade School then went to Roseville for thirty-seven years until the time of her retirement. Janet’s love of her family and all the school children she taught were her bright light of happiness. Many memories she cherished of the children she taught. Janet was a very kind and giving person. To all the children that Janet taught, remember Janet with love and respect. She loved and respected all of her school children with great love. Remember her dearly. Janet was a member of Black Oak Church.
Janet is survived by her mother, Mary Madeline Bartimus; a daughter Teresa A. Reedy of Roseville, grandson Josh Reedy of Roseville; great-grandson Hendrix Reedy and her sister Penny (Larry) Penrod, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her father, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Reedy and a brother, Robert L. Bartimus.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Monday, Jan. 2, 2012 at THE ROSEVILLE CHAPEL SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 33 N. MAIN ST., ROSEVILLE, OH. Services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, Jan. 3 at
the funeral home with Rev. Gay Blau officiating. Burial will follow at Black Oak Cemetery.
