Janet Starrett

Janet Starrett, 70, of South Zanesville, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, under the care of hospice.

Janet was born in Crooksville, Ohio, on May 28, 1955. She was a loving mother, wife, and dear friend to many. Janet worked for more than 30 years in the nursing field.

Janet is survived by her husband, Danny Starrett, her two children, Matthew Starrett & Joseph (Kristen) Starrett, and beautiful granddaughter Kinsley Starrett. Sisters Judy Presley and Jerri (Dave) Rutledge, Brothers Jeffrey (Robin) Eveland and James (Julie) Eveland, and many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ellen (Hutchinson) Eveland, Sisters Joy Gibson and Jackie Carr.

Family and friends will gather at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday December 11, 2025 with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. with Jay Flinn officiating. A caring cremation will take place to honor Janet’s wishes.
