Janie Huey

Janie L. Huey, 72, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at her residence. She was born May 17, 1954, in Lodi, Ohio to the late Donald W. Buchanan and Rowena L. Dunn Hammers. She was employed as a Resorter/Inspector at Brockway Glass. Janie took great pride in raising her three boys and spending time with her family. She enjoyed crafts and bringing in stray critters (cats and dogs).

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Gary Huey; her sons: Jeremy (Christie) McLean, Joshua (Ashley M.) McLean, Jared (Victoria) McLean and Cody (Erin) Huey; a daughter Jessica (TJ) Baker; her many beloved grandchildren: Ashley (Kyle), Allissa, Dakota, Brian, Everett, Hunter (Madi), Hannah (Ali), Hayden, Isaac, Lydiah, Jaycie, Laila (Aaron) and Lyla; two great grandchildren: Aaron and Adalyn; and two sisters: Brenda Sue (Dave) Wolfe and Kathy Bost; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew Mike Smitley.

Visitation will be from 11AM to 12PM Thursday, October 8, 2026, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. The funeral service will begin at 12PM in The Snouffer Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Belt officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
