Jason Vannoy

Jason Scott Vannoy, 45, of Pleasant City, unexpectedly passed away Thursday (December 14, 2023) at his home.
He was born November 26, 1978 in Parkersburg, son of James “Jim” Vannoy and the late Emily Jane (Veon) Vannoy.
Jason graduated from Wood County Christian and Washington State, where he earned a degree in marketing. Jason worked at Lashley Tractor Sales – St. Clairsville store, where he was the sales manager.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church.
Jason was our family’s “Papa Bear” with a big heart. He dearly loved his family, his dog – Russell, his friends, his church & work families, the mountains, and the farm.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hunter & Dorothy Vannoy and Arnold and Irene Veon.
Jason is survived by his wife, Mandy (Morrison) Vannoy, whom he married October 7, 2000; his son, Austin Vannoy; his father, James “Jim” Vannoy (Bonnie) of Parkersburg; a brother, Jay Perkins of Parkersburg, two sisters, Julie Rector of Parkersburg and Gretchen (Shane) Chute of Lancaster; his in-laws, Roger and Myrna Morrison of Sycamore Valley; his grandmother-in-law, Nancy Guiler of Woodsfield; his brother-in-law, Brad Gardner of Sycamore Valley; two sisters-in-law, Lori (Tom) Logston of Lewisville and Sharon (Matt) Gillespie of Bremen; his dog, Russell; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday (December 17, 2023) from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will be held Monday (December 18, 2023) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Debbie Gheen officiating.
Burial will be at Creighton Ridge Cemetery, near Sycamore Valley in Monroe County OH.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Jason’s name be made to one of the following organizations: 1) Meadowbrook FFA Alumni, c/o Peoples Bank, 221 S 2nd St, Byesville OH 43723; or 2) Bethlehem Methodist Church, c/o Rhonda Stemmer, 9750 Country Club Estates, Byesville OH 43723.
