Jay Leiby

Jay E. Leiby Sr., 54, of Zanesville Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Jay was born on August 7, 1969, to Jerald and Shirley Leiby. In addition to his parents, Jay is preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Barbara Starner Leiby, whom he married on January 1, 1991; in-laws, Alice and Charles Starner; paternal grandparents, William and Benice Leiby; maternal grandparents, Martin and Margie Lehman; brother, Andrew Leiby; brother-in-law, Raymond Campbell Jr.; nephew, Austin Campbell.

Jay leaves to cherish his memory, his kids, Jay (Maxie) Leiby Jr., Justin (Phylicia) Leiby and Carol (Josh) Hiles; sister, Susan (William) Ross; brother, William Leiby; grandchildren, Kamron, Madison, Brett, Jayden, Gracie and one on the way; several other niece and nephews, as well as many other friends and family.

Per Jay’s wishes, cremation has been chosen and no services will be observed at this time. The family asks in lieu of flowers to please send donations to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter in Jay’s honor. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
