Jaycees Prepare for 4th Festivities

The Zanesville Jaycees are hard at work preparing for the July 4th festivities.

Shawn Antritt says it takes a lot of work to get everyone ready for this weekend’s festivities.

“We try to meet everyone down here and get them in the right spots, so everyone is happy,” said Antritt. “We try to make everything as smooth as possible.”

Antritt says they haven’t run into any issues yet, and the weather seems to be holding off. He says the Jaycees hope they won’t see any rain.

“Tonight we’re going to start with the bands at 6 o’clock, with food and entertainment,” he said. “That will last til 10 o’clock. Tomorrow we’ll start at 11 a.m. with a poker run. The bands will start at 2 p.m. The fireworks will be at 9:45.”

All the festivities will take place at Zane Landing Park both tonight and tomorrow.
