Jayne Davis

Jayne E. Davis age 69, of Caldwell, OH passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024 at the Marietta Memorial Hospital in Marietta, OH. She was born April 13, 1955 in Caldwell, OH a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Archer Rucker.

She was a member of the Caldwell VFW Auxiliary Post #4721 and worked at the Caldwell VFW for over thirty years. Jayne was a 1974 graduate of Caldwell High School. She was an avid Caldwell Redskin, Ohio State Buckeye, Cleveland Browns, and Indians fan. Jayne could often be found playing the machines at Wheeling Island. She loved her children and grandchildren greatly and enjoyed every moment spent with them.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Tom Rucker.

Those left to cherish her memory, are her husband Ogle Dwain “Orf” Davis whom she married June 14, 1980; children Jason (Kim) Rucker, Jennifer Davis all of Caldwell, Shelli (Lee) Shreve of Sarahsville, OH; grandchildren Bentley Barnett, Kinsey and Jase Rucker, Brooke (Josh) Cowgill, Britney (Jared) Cowgill, and Blake (Marcus) Wise; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Suzanne Pitts of Caldwell, Joy Wollerman of Columbus, OH and Kitty (Rick) Zerger of Caldwell; brother Steven (Alice) Johnson of Columbus; special nephews Shane (Dawna) Rucker and Nathan (Peggy) Pitts. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Chandler Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 609 West Street, Caldwell, OH 43724. A Funeral Service will conclude visitation Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 6:00 pm in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, with Evangelist Jimmie Moore officiating. Cremation will follow with inurnment held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family to Chandler Funeral Home c/o Davis Family.
