Jeannette W. Taylor

Jeannette W. Taylor, 76 of Norwich, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the Genesis Hospital.
She was born on September 10, 1949, in Denver, Colorado, a daughter of the late Melvin and Lillian (Weiss) Worth.
Jeannette worked as a volunteer and local coordinator in Zanesville and Cambridge for AARP Tax Aid for many years. She also volunteered for United Way in her earlier years.
She held a commercial pilot’s license and loved to be in the air. Some of her favorite places to travel to were Florida, Maine, Wisconsin, and Colorado. Jeannette also assisted her husband, John, in teaching the new pilots as a ground instructor. They took part in many “Angel Flights” where they flew individuals who needed medical treatment around the country to their appointments.
When she wasn’t in the air, Jeannette could be found reading a book. She was an avid reader and loved learning, as well as listening to classical music. She was very proud of her country and took pride in the title of a military wife for several years. Jeannette was a loving wife, aunt, and friend, who will be missed by all who knew her.
Jeannette is survived by her loving husband of fifty-three years, John B. Taylor, whom she married in October of 1972; sister-in-law, Sharon; several cousins, nieces and one nephew; her cats, Cookie and Gizmo; as well as many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Jeannette’s honor to the Muskingum County Animal Shelter, which can be done by mailing a check to 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701.
A celebration of Jeannette’s life will be held at a date to be determined.
