Jeff Anderson

Jeff Anderson, 70, of Byesville, passed away Monday (December 11, 2023) at Southeastern Med, Cambridge.

He was born September 1, 1953 in Marietta, son of the late Robert Anderson and Beulah (Morland) Anderson.

A graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Jeff was a longtime school bus driver and interoffice mail carrier for the Rolling Hills Local School District. He had also been a police officer for the Byesville Police Department for several years.

Jeff was a member of the Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge of Cambridge, as well as a social member of the Cambridge VFW Post 2901. He enjoyed collecting coins in his spare time.

Above all else, Jeff was a great dad and brother.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Jean (Clayton) Anderson, who passed away January 29, 1997. They were married September 22, 1979.

Jeff is survived by his daughter, Carmen Anderson of the home; his sister, Vera (& Anthony) Boyd of Pleasant City; his nephew, Tyler (& Tristen) Boyd; his great-nephew, Luke Boyd; his close friend, Peggy Hayes; and numerous friends & co-workers.

Visitation will be held Thursday (December 14, 2023) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will be held on Friday (December 15, 2023) at 11 a.m. with Evan. Woody Biggs officiating.

Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
