He was born on April 10, 1950, in Zanesville, to the late, Melvin Dale and Ellen Lucille (Hutchinson) Eveland.

A proud graduate of Crooksville High School, Jeff dedicated many years of his life to the Peabody Coal Company, where he worked tirelessly for nineteen and a half years as a shuttle car operator and a bolter. Jeff was a master tinkerer, taking delight in restoring old cars and showcasing his hard work at car shows. His talent as “Mr. Fix-It” extended beyond vehicles, as he was also a great cook, renowned for his homemade noodles, savory chili, and irresistibly delicious, candied bacon. The kitchen and garage were often filled with laughter and love. An avid camper, Jeff found immense happiness in spending time outdoors, particularly while camping throughout Ohio with his beloved wife. These camping trips became even more special when the entire family came together to create lasting memories. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, relishing his role as a loving and devoted family man.

Left behind to mourn his sudden passing are his wife of 42 years, Robin (Kilbourne) Eveland; his children, Kimberly D. (Mandy) Meadows, Jeffrey P. (Dawn) Eveland and Jason A. (Mandi) Eveland; his siblings, Judy Presley, Jerri (Dave) Rutledge, James (Julie) Eveland; his brother-in-law, Larry Gibson; his grandchildren, Taylor Cain, Torie Glenneman, Taryn Potochnik, Tabitha Eveland, Jordan Sheets, Brandon Wilfong, Kendall Eveland, Bristol Eveland, Bryson Eveland, Logan Meadows and Cameron Meadows and his twelve great-grandchildren.
