Jimmie Johnson

Jimmie Johnson, 87, of New Lexington, Ohio died at 6:25pm on Monday, April 21, 2025 at FairHoPe Hospice, The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio.

Born on November 13, 1938 in McRoberts, Kentucky to the late McKinley and Icy Sowers Johnson.

Jimmie was a devoted husband and father, he loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved the Lord, his church, Corner Stone Baptist Church of New Lexington Ohio where he served as Emeritus Deacon for 20 years, reading his bible, gardening, playing Rook and He loved his hometown in Kentucky “15 Hollor”.

Survived by brother, George Johnson; children, Loretta (Bill) Sullivan, Wayne (Torie) Johnson and Tim (Brenda) Johnson; grandchildren, Tonya (Michael) Buckley, Chris Sullivan, Mindy (Andy Reichley), Ashley (Matt Berry), Johnna (T.J. Tokie), Cody (Jessie) Johnson, Trey (Kaitlyn), Brittany (Shawn) Valentine, Kayla (Drew) Cheney and Brandon (Kelsey) Ruck and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents preceded in death by son, Ronnie Dean Johnson; brothers, John and Bernie Johnson and sister, Betty Banks.

Calling hours will be held from 12:00pm to 3:00pm with the funeral service at 3:00pm on Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Corner Stone Baptist Church, 215 E Broadway Street, New Lexington, Ohio with Pastor Randy Foust officiating.

Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Green Acres Cemetery, Whitesburg, Kentucky.
