Jimmie L. Wilson, aged 89, of Roseville, passed away on January 25, 2026, at the Genesis Healthcare Emergency Department, Zanesville, Ohio. Born on January 19, 1937, at Old Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio, he was the cherished son of the late James L. and Louella (Davis) Wilson. Throughout his life, Jimmie was known for his steadfast presence and the warmth he extended to everyone around him. His was a life well-lived, full of dedication to his family, his work, and his community. He leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Jimmie was the beloved husband of the late Grace Ann (McConnell) Wilson, with whom he married on July 17, 1953 and shared years of unwavering partnership and cherished memories until her passing. He was a devoted father to his son, Dean (Lisa) Wilson, and daughters, Amy (Bill) Mill, Sarah (Doug) Pettit, and Heather Bathrick. His guidance and love shaped the lives of his children, instilling in them the values of kindness, integrity, and perseverance. A proud grandfather, Jimmie’s joy was multiplied through his grandchildren, Wesley Mill, Andy Mill, Austin Wilson, Angela Berkfield, Adam Faust, Derek Faust, Ashley Jones, and Erin Bathrick, as well as several great-grandchildren and by his brother, Larry “Shang” Wilson. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wilson, his son-in-law, Dave Bathrick, grandchild, Andrea Bathrick and his parents. A man of principle and dedication, Jimmie was a respected figure in his professional and social life. His commitment to his craft was evident in the over 65 years of service he rendered as a member of the Peerless Lodge 591 F & AM, where he held the esteemed position of Past Master Mason. His contributions to the lodge were numerous, and his absence will be deeply felt by his brethren. Graveside services will be held in Rose Hill Cemetery, Roseville where he will be laid to rest next to his wife Grace Ann. The date is yet to be determined pending weather.
