Joan Trump

Joan C. Trump, 78, of Crooksville, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, in the warmth of her daughter’s residence in Crooksville, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 24, 1946, in Meigs County, Ohio, to the late Floyd A. and Elma (Spears) Graves, Joan’s life was one marked by her love and devotion to her family, her faith, and the simple joys that life had to offer. She is survived by her children, Paula (Tony) Holmes and Mike (Misty) Cremeens; grandchildren, Ashley (Jerry) Hunter and Christina (Jeffery) Doyle: great-grandchildren, Martina Holmes, Jacob Skeenes, Kelton Skeenes, and Logan Doyle. Each of them was a precious gift to her, bringing immense happiness and pride to her later year; her brother, Floyd “Dick” Graves, and her sister, Karen Waggle. A special place in her heart was reserved for her niece, Sheila Lee, whom the family would like to extend their gratitude for her care and guidance and her adored cousin, Donna Sue (Jack) Maxwell, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly. Joan’s life was one of service and faith, as she was a devout Christian and a dedicated member of the former Roseville Church of the Nazarene. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her kindness and the love she extended to all who knew her. Joan’s work as a homemaker was her calling, and she fulfilled this role with grace and dedication. She created a home filled with love, comfort, and the assurance that anyone who entered was treated as family. Nature held a special place in Joan’s heart, and she was often found porch sitting, taking in the beauty of her surroundings, and engaging in one of her favorite pastimes, people watching. Among her interests, was a unique passion for elephants, which she collected and loved immensely. Her collection was more than a hobby; it was a symbol of her strength, wisdom, and the protective love she had for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; special sister and best friend, Wanda “Jane” Ervin and brother, William Graves. Calling hours will be held Monday April 28, 2025 from 11am until the time of service at 1pm at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 33 N. Main Street, Roseville.
