Job Fair Tomorrow At the Welcome Center

Ohio Means Jobs, the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, and WHIZ Media Group will be hosting a job fair tomorrow. More than 30 companies are participating including AutoZone, Dollar General, and Ohio Stave.

“We’re asking job seekers to make sure that when they come, that they are prepared with their resume. They are dressed for an interview. This is going to be a time for them to come face to face when the representatives from each company,” said Ohio Means Jobs Supervisor Julie Metzger.

Metzger said this is the time for job seekers to sell themselves to perspective employers.

“I would just make sure you know what is your skill set, what are you good at, what do you have experience at. Research the company. Know a little bit about them and the positions that they want to fill. And just know how your skill set can match up to what they are looking for,” said Metzger.

The event will take place at the Zanesville-Muskingum County Welcome Center from 1 P.M. to 5 P.M. The first hour of the event will be just for veterans who are seeking a job. The rest of the event is open to the public.
