Jobless Rate Drops In This Region

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services issued the latest jobless rates for our area and the numbers are improving. In August all counties in our area saw a decrease in unemployment. Here are the numbers: In Noble County the jobless rate for August is 13.3%, down from 14.7 %. In Morgan County it’s 13.3% down from 14%. Here in Muskingum County the rate went from 14% to 13%. Perry County’s jobless rate went from 12.8% to 11.9% and in Licking County the unemployment rate went from 9.7% to 9 %. Across Ohio the jobless rate fell from 10.3% to 10.1%.
