John Glenn moves past Cambridge in baseball sectional

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The John Glenn Little Muskies got a solid outing from starting pitcher Carter Szalay and won their opening tournament game 4-2 over Cambridge.

John Glenn was able to strike first, plating a run in the third inning. Cambridge would battle to tie the game at two runs each in the fifth, but JG scored twice more in the sixth to take a lead they wouldn’t give up.

Starting pitcher Szalay pitched a complete game and struck out six Bobcats.

The third seeded Little Muskies move on to districts where they will face Malvern on Monday.
