John King Sr.

John Douglas King Sr., 80, of Adamsville Ohio, passed away on December 30, 2023. John was born on November 21, 1943, to Arthur Newton and Lola Gertrude (Wickham) King. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, whom he married on October 30, 1965, Carolyne Judy Ann (Paynter) King and two brothers, Dalton and Gene King.

John leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Sonja (James) Davis, John Jr. (Traci) King and Katrina (Terry Corder) King; grandchildren, Minda (Cody) Peterson, Casey (Keyonna) King, Breanna Davis, Kiersten Davis and Brooklyn Davis; great grandchildren, Jace and Kolby Peterson; sister, Joy (John) Parks; lifelong friend, Eddie Miller of Adamsville; special fur-babies, Lefty, Chi, Jupiter, Dusty, Righty and Missy; as well as several other friends and family.

John had made his home for the last 3 years in Coshocton Ohio, living with his daughter, Sonja. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren, who he was lovingly referred to as Bampy and Grandpa. John was a craft person who excelled in woodworking. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting coins along with repairing lawn mowers. John will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

You may call on the family on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Burrell Funeral Services from 11am until 1pm, with funeral services starting at 1pm. Cremation will follow the funeral. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
