John “Tim” Baker Sr. (October 23, 1949 – January 6, 2016)

John “Tim†Baker Sr., 66, of Westerville, died on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Mount Carmel West in Columbus. He was born October 23, 1949, in Zanesville, a son of the late Harold C. Baker and Ruth Fusner Ball. He was a Marine Corps Veteran serving two tours in the Vietnam War and a retired nurse of twenty years. He loved his country and was a member of the VFW George Selsam Post #1058.
He is survived by two daughters, Deanna (Anthony) Furbee of Sunbury and Trish (Andy) Romo of Westerville; a son John T. Baker Jr. (Stacey) of Westerville; six grandchildren, Codey, Andrew, Alexander, Leo, Trey and Kayla; and a half-sister Holly Hogue.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Gregory Tom Baker; and his half-brother Howard “Rusty†Ball.
Friends and family may call from 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, concluding with full military honors being presented by the United States Marines in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post #1058 and American Legion Post #29 at 3:00 P.M.
