John "tim" Baker Sr. (october 23, 1949 January 6, 2016)

John “Tim” Baker Sr., 66, of Westerville, died on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Mount Carmel West in Columbus. He was born October 23, 1949, in Zanesville, a son of the late Harold C. Baker and Ruth Fusner Ball. He was a Marine Corps Veteran serving two tours in the Vietnam War and a retired nurse of twenty years. He loved his country and was a member of the VFW George Selsam Post #1058.

He is survived by two daughters, Deanna (Anthony) Furbee of Sunbury and Trish (Andy) Romo of Westerville; a son John T. Baker Jr. (Stacey) of Westerville; six grandchildren, Codey, Andrew, Alexander, Leo, Trey and Kayla; and a half-sister Holly Hogue.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Gregory Tom Baker; and his half-brother Howard “Rusty” Ball.

Friends and family may call from 1:00-3:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, concluding with full military honors being presented by the United States Marines in conjunction with VFW George Selsam Post #1058 and American Legion Post #29 at 3:00 P.M.
