Joseph Campbell

Joseph Curtis Campbell, 54, formerly of Frazeysburg, Ohio, died Monday afternoon at his home in Newark after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born October 4, 1970 in Zanesville, Ohio, he was a son of the late Clara A. (Grundy) and Edwin F. Campbell, Sr. and a graduate of Starlight School. Joseph worked for LICCO and enjoyed watching western movies and all things Scooby Doo. It made him so happy to watch children laugh and play and he made friends with anyone he met. Joseph loved his family, especially Chad, Nicole, Calvin, Brooklynn, Nolan, Cohen, Chase and Jordan who he was very close with and provided frequent care for him.
He is survived by three sisters, Ella (Charles) Untied of Frazeysburg, Mary (Richard) Stover of Akron and Patricia Campbell-Loomis of Newark; four brothers, Edwin (Nancy) Campbell, Jr. of Frazeysburg, Frederick (Patty) Campbell of Michigan, Clyde (Sue) Campbell of South Zanesville and Wilbur (LuAnn) Campbell of Columbus; special nephew and niece in-law, Chad and Nicole Untied and their children; numerous nieces and nephews and his cat, Hansel.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Isaac and Michael Campbell and a sister and brother in-law, Rebecca (Jeff) Jones.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Central Ohio and caregivers of the home for the love and care they provided for Joseph.
Friends and family may visit from Monday, December 16, 2024 from NOON until 1 PM at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 16, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Brother Jim Henderson officiating.
Joseph will be laid to rest in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
