Joseph “Joe” K. Olah, 73 of Zanesville, died 10:25 AM, Tuesday, April 1, 2025. at Genesis Morrison House Hospice. He was born Saturday, April 21, 1951, in Nelsonville, the son of Joseph L. Olah and Helen L. (Craig) Olah. He married Beverly A. (Blake) Olah on Saturday, March 11, 1972.

Joe retired from Muskingum County Human Services in 2000, as Assistant Director, following over 25 years of service. Joe was an avid fisherman and greatly enjoyed the time he spent fishing with his grandson, Evan. He enjoyed sports of all kinds and followed Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.

Joe loved the outdoors, hiking and traveling. He was very involved in the local Parkinson Support Group called “All Shook Up”, and was a former member of Lions Club International. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who cherished the time he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Bev, Joe is survived by one daughter, Stacy (Ron) Maurer of Dayton; one grandson, Evan Maurer; three siblings, Patricia Parsons of New Lexington, Paul (Sharon) Olah of Reynoldsburg and Joyce (Danny) Hogue of New Lexington and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Rex Parson.
