Joseph Totarella

Joseph “Joey” Anthony Totarella, 34, of Ohio, passed away on July 19, 2026. Born on January 10, 1992, in Cleveland, Ohio, Joey was the beloved son of Joseph Totarella and the late Kathleen (Clarke) Totarella.
Joey found joy in life’s simple blessings. Whether it was taking a hike in search of a beautiful waterfall, spending an evening beneath a sky full of stars, or sharing a meaningful conversation with those he cared about, he appreciated the moments that brought people closer together. He possessed a larger-than-life personality that left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Above all else, Joey cherished his family and friends. His generous spirit, infectious smile, and compassionate nature reflected a man with an enormous heart who loved deeply and was loved in return. His memory will forever be treasured by those whose lives he touched.
Joey is lovingly survived by his father, Joseph Totarella; his stepmother, Lisa Totarella; his siblings, Jamie (J.T.) Patterson, Patrick (Melanie) Totarella, Danielle (Holden) Laney, and Carli (Broc) Diturno; his nieces and nephews, Gage, Mason, Luca, Lilly, Triton, and Azlynn; his special loved ones, Rachel Lane, Trae, and C.J.; his close aunt, Shari Stewart; as well as many cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Kathleen (Clarke) Poling.
Joey worked as a concrete finisher, a profession that reflected his strong work ethic and dedication. Those who knew him will remember not only the work of his hands, but the kindness, laughter, and love he freely shared with others.
