Judge Pleads Guilty to Hit-Skip

A Perry County Judge pleaded guilty in Franklin County Municipal Court Wednesday to leaving the scene of an accident with a COTA bus. Judge Dean Wilson was originally charged with operating a vehicle under the influence and hit-skip. The O-V-I charge was dropped in a plea deal with prosecutors. The accident happened last year in Columbus. Court records show that Dean had his license suspended for 270 days, although he will have limited driving privileges. The Judge also suspended a jail sentence. Judge Dean is known locally for presiding over a trial a New Lexington High School that educates students on the dangers of drinking and driving.
