Judith E. Nelson (July 24, 1943 – May 9, 2012)

Judith E. Nelson, 68, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.

Judie was born July 24, 1943 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late William Linus Hildebrand and Josephine I. Young Hildebrand. She retired as a secretary at the former P.A. Nelson Grading Company and then began working in home health care for several years. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Zanesville. She enjoyed camping trips with family and friends, took great pride and joy in her yard work and was always helping and caring for others.

She is survived by her husband Philip Alan Nelson, who she married August 31, 1984. Her daughter, Carla M. Laris and son John W. Laris Step-daughters: Kelly Nelson, Kathie Baier and Kristie Dodson, Step-sons Bret and Bart Nelson. 15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, brothers Bill, Bob, David, Kenny and Richard Hildebrand; sisters: Dottie Wagstaff, Patty Moore, Jeannie Schneider and Fran Zemba.
In addition to her parents Judie is preceded in death by her sister Paula Hildebrand.
The family is being served by the BRYAN & SNIDER FUNERAL HOME 2318 Maple Ave. who are arranging a caring cremation; there are no services or visitations scheduled.
