July Jobless Rates
The State of Ohio Tuesday released the July jobless rates and most of the counties in our area saw a drop in joblessness. The exception is Noble County where the jobless rate registered at 14.7 percent up from June’s 14.4%. The rest of the counties in our region either went down or stayed steady. Morgan County’s unemployment rate is 13.8 percent down from 14.1%… then Muskingum County at 13 percent down from 13.1%… Perry and Coshocton Counties at 12.7 percent and Guernsey County at 11.7 percent down from 11.9%. The lowest rate in our area again belongs to Licking County at 9.7 percent which is down from 9.8%. Ohio’s jobless rate was 10.3 percent down from 10.5 percent in June.
