K9 Adoption Center Dogs of The Week

ZANESVILLE, OH – Meet Dogs of the Week Rowan and Rory.
Dogs of the week Rowan and Rory are looking to spend the next holiday season with a loving family. The pair are hoping to get adopted together. However, Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center volunteer Doug McQuaid says they know that’s not possible for every family.
“Rory is a female, already up to date on all her vaccinations, seems to be dog friendly, kid friendly and house broken as well,” McQuaid said. “This big guy is Rowan. He’s approximately six years old. He’s already neutered, and same with him–good with kids and dogs. Both of these dogs walk easily on a leash, and ride well in a car.”
McQuaid is also reminding dog owners about the importance of getting a dog license, especially if the dog runs away.
“Please get those because it’s a way for your dog to get back to you as quickly as possible. When we pick up a dog and it has a license on it, if you are home, we will make sure the dog is returned to your house right then and will not come to our facility,” McQuaid said.
The center’s dog food bank is fully stocked. People interested in picking up a bag of food should call or stop by the K-9 center.
