Kadeem Royer Charged In Ridge Avenue Shooting
ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â Zanesville police say they have a person in custody in connection to Monday night’s shooting on Ridge Avenue.
Police Chief, Kenneth Miller said ZPD has filed charges against 22-year old Kadeem Royer of Zanesville. The motive for the shooting is still unclear.
“Speculation was a robbery attempt. This morning we did make one arrested on Mead Street. We arrested a male subject 22- years old. We arrested him without an incident. He’s presently locked up in Zanesville City Jail. We are meeting with the prosecutors to get charges filed on him. Last night at around 8:08 p.m. we received a call about shots fired. And a subject had been shot at 1116 Ridge Avenue. Once we arrived at the scene we did discover a male victim aged 38. He was shot in the leg. He was sent up to the hospital,” said Miller.
The incident remains under investigation.
