Katherine Shaw

Mrs. Katherine Lucille Shaw lived to love and to be loved. Kay, as she was known to most, passed away peacefully in her home Friday morning July 24th, 2025.
She was born on February 21, 1936, in Kingwood, West Virginia, daughter of the late John and Legi Jenkins. Kay was a caregiver and a homemaker. She loved swimming and socializing with her friends.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Karen (Shaw) Honaker and Theresa Shaw both of Zanesville Ohio; granddaughter, Shannon Marie Bishop of Duncan Falls Ohio and 3 great-grandchildren, Dorian Hummel , Gabriel Bishop, and Elizabeth Bishop.
In addition to her parents, Kay is preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, George Shaw Jr., who passed on March 10, 2025; 2 sons: George Wayne Shaw, who passed in 1958 and Lee Edward Shaw, who passed away in 2025; grandson, Adam Lee Honaker, who passed in 2021; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ruth Teeter from Kingwood West Virginia, who passed in 1996 and Mrs. Annabelle Bradley of Marysville Ohio, who passed in 2014.
A dignified cremation has been entrusted to DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home.
