Kathryn J. Wonderling (october 17, 1925 April 13, 2016)

ZANESVILLE
Kathryn J. Wonderling, 90 of Zanesville passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, Wednesday April 13, 2016 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. Kathryn was born October 17, 1925 in Millersburg, Ohio. She was the daughter late Earlis and Mary Rickey Troyer. Kathryn was a former longtime resident of Gahanna, Ohio. She was a member of Euclid Ave. United Methodist Church.
Kathryn will be fondly remembered as a caring and supportive wife of a military husband, a loving mother and a loyal friend. Being a military wife and mother is one of the hardest jobs you can have. Through all of the transfers and moves, around the country, Kathryn was the backbone of the family. She managed to keep everything organized, took care of all her children’s needs and always turned wherever we lived into a home. Mom enjoyed volunteering, loved to garden, was an avid reader and was every inch a lady.
Kathryn is survived by her three children and their spouses; David(Debbie) Wonderling of Olney, Maryland, Donna (Larry) McCoy of Zanesville, Ohio and Richard (Diana) Wonderling of Kettering, Ohio. She is also survived by six granddaughters; Tracy, Carrie, Cindy, Erin, Katie and Sarah, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth (Don) McClelland and a special niece, Charlotte Becker.
In addition to her parents, Katheryn was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John F. Wonderling, who died July 4, 2012, four brothers and one sister.
The Wonderling family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful staff of Genesis Hospice and the Morrison House for the tender, loving care given to Kathryn. A special thanks to her hospice aid, Jessica.
Friends and family may call from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am Saturday April 16, 2016 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE with Rev. Matt Blau officiating.
