Kathy A. (Newman) Carnes (December 18, 1955 – August 22, 2015)

Kathy (Newman) Carnes, 59, went home peacefully to join her husband, Saturday, August 22, 2015. She was born on December 18, 1955 to the late George and Juanita (Adams) Newman.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jock Carnes; a brother Robert Newman; one aunt; four uncles; two nephews; one cousin; and a brother-in-law.
She is survived by two daughters, Georjeanna (Michael) Wilkey, and Jessica Carnes; a son, Justin Carnes; six grandsons; four granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Diane Newman, Nancy Barnett, and Pamela Newman; one brother, George (Linda) Newman; three best friends, Susan Thomas, Blanche (Allan) Norris, and Tracy Akins; uncle, Herbie (Jan) Newman; aunt, Letha Kennedy; her loving dog, Cream Rise; three special nieces, Charla Barnett, Bobbie (Jason) Lewis, and Kisha Newman; special nephew, Chris Newman; a host of family, friends, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be at 11 a.m. with services to follow at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Burrell Funeral Services 414 LaSalle Street. Cremation has been chosen. Condolences may be expressed at burrellfuneralservices.com. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
