Kathy Campbell

Kathy J. Campbell, 67, of Zanesville, Ohio, passed away on October 3, 2026, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. She was born on December 18, 1958, in Richmond, California, the daughter of Dorothy and Virgil Ripley.
Kathy was a wonderfully creative woman who seemed happiest when she was making something. Whether she was writing, reading, painting, crafting, baking or dreaming up her next project, there was rarely a shortage of imagination in her world. An avid writer with a love for theatre, she wrote, directed, and produced many of her own plays in Crooksville and Somerset Ohio, sharing her creativity, humor, and talents with the communities she loved.
She devoted herself to public service, proudly serving in the United States Air Force and later spending many years serving as Clerk-Treasurer for the Village of Crooksville. Kathy was also a former member of the Crooksville Tree Committee and devoted many years of her time and talents to the Crooksville-Roseville Pottery Festival. Her love for her community was evident in the many ways she chose to serve and contribute. Upon retirement, she began a new chapter at Bethel Community Center, where she cherished the children, friendships, and relationships she made there.
She is survived by her five children, Tiffany, Michelle, Sheena, Bill, and Katie; 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Carol and Darla; many nieces, nephews, and so many special friends who became family along the way.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Neil Campbell; her parents, Dorothy and Virgil; her brother, Bob Ripley; and her sister Deborah Bealer. Those who knew Kathy well can take comfort in imagining the joyful reunion that awaited her. She leaves behind more than photographs and memories. She leaves handwritten words, painted pages, recipes made with love, stories told and retold, things created by her own hands, and little pieces of herself tucked into the lives of the people who were fortunate enough to know her. A life so creative, colorful, and deeply loved could never truly disappear.
Kathy was deeply thankful for her Cornerstone Church family for the love, prayer, fellowship, and support they had given her. She leaves this earth with one final encouragement to those she loved: seek a personal relationship with Jesus, trust Him, and know Him for yourself.
Per her wishes, no funeral service will be held. There will be a memorial gathering at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE
