Keep Your Pet Safe During Hunting Season

A new season might mean new dangers for your pet.

Petsmart’s Penny Malik reminds pet owners with the approaching hunting season you’ll want to be sure your pet is easily seen and kept away form hunting areas.

"If they have to go out there you want to make sure that they have on bright color collars or vests to keep them safe," explained Malik.

Malik also reminds that salt used on driveways and sidewalks can be harmful.

"That’s a big thing everybody is going to be salting their driveways and everything coming real soon, make sure you use the pet friendly salt, if you use the regular salt it will actually burn their paw pads," said Malik.

Malik suggests you keep your veterinarians phone number on hand at all time, and double-check they have a 24 hour service.
