Bethany Lynne Hayes, a beloved soul who touched countless lives with her warmth and generosity, passed away unexpectedly on December 1st, 2025, after a brief but brave fight against a rare and aggressive liver cancer, Cholangiocarcinoma.

She was born at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida on May 4th, 1973. At three months old she then moved to Cambridge, Ohio, with her big brother Mike and soon welcomed sister Megan.

She was a proud 1991 graduate of Cambridge High School and attended Kent State University. Beth ventured back to the sunshine state living in Fort Lauderdale for several years before returning to Ohio. She built a long, proud career in hospitality, before excelling as a realtor for many years.

Beth lived boldly: kayaking, whitewater rafting, skydiving, and zipping around on her scooter and motorcycle. She cherished her annual camping trips with her girlfriends and adored her cats. A culinary genius, she created stunning charcuterie boards for every gathering and was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan alongside her dad and sister.

She cherished her trips to New York City and London and delighted in her book club gatherings. She was an avid blood donor to American Red Cross, supported the American Cancer Society and participated in the annual heart walk in Columbus with her close friends. As a recent breast cancer survivor, she embodied resilience and strength. Her infectious laugh, kindness, and adventurous spirit drew people in.

She is survived by her Mother, Nancie Duffey Hayes; her Father, Jeffrey Hayes, and his wife Mary (Mitchell); her Brother Michael Hayes; her Sister Megan Bradison (Hayes) and husband Eric Bradison; her Nephews Nathan Bradison and Robbie Hayes; and her beloved Niece Morgan Bradison.

Bethany was preceded in death by her Grandparents Richard (Dick) and Betty Duffey, Dan and Nancy Hayes, and her Nephew Cameron Bradison. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Per Bethany’s wishes, she was cremated with arrangements by Bonnell Cremations Funerals Receptions.

A celebration of Bethany’s life will be held on December 27th from 3 to 8 PM at Theo’s Restaurant (Upstairs) in Cambridge. Join us to honor her enduring spirit.
