Kenneth Dickinson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth Dickinson Sr on Saturday, September 6, 2025, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, Uncle and friend. Kenneth departed this life leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, JoAnne and John Dickinson, his brother John Dickinson Jr.
“John John” and his grandson Tremaine Somers.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 54 years, Beverly Dickinson, who stood by his side through every chapter. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes his children: Kendra Horton (Gary “Manny” Thomas), Jerone Newman (Leslie Thomas), Renee Dickinson (Andre Matlock), Kenneth Dickinson Jr. (Tessa Dickinson), Kayla Dickinson, Paige Dickinson, and Shanice Pennington.
Kenneth was a proud grandfather to 29 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 17 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings: Butch Smith (Kicky Smith), Lonnie Smith (Sam Smith), Angela Hargraves, and Kathy Dickinson (Phil Norman).
Kenneth had many nieces and nephews, and he shared a unique and special bond with each of them.
His memory will also be treasured by his special friends Virgil Johnson, “Jazzy” Jeff Harris, and nephew Andrew “Buff” Goins.
A hardworking man with a heart full of generosity, Kenneth was a steadfast provider and the foundation of his family. He adored his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews—always showing up with unwavering love and support.
Kenneth had a zest for life and found joy in the simple pleasures. He loved golfing, bowling, dancing his 2 step shuffle, and cheering on his beloved Cleveland Browns. Known for his infectious personality, sharp humor, and magnetic presence, Kenneth never met a stranger. He lit up every room he entered and brought joy wherever he went. Truly, he was the life of the party.
Kenneth was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure. His warmth, laughter, and “cool” spirit will live on in all who had the blessing to know him.
