Kenneth E. Leasure (January 15, 1923 – May 22, 2015)
Kenneth E. Leasure, 92, of Zanesville died at Oaks at Northpointe on Friday, May 22, 2015. He was born Jan 15, 1923 in Zanesville, a son of the late Harold and Nelda Ford Leasure. Kenny co-founded and owned Suburban Drilling Company and later was employed by Mid-Atlantic Canners Association. He was an avid target rifle sharpshooter throughout his lifetime and achieved the title of National Small bore Champion in 1967. Kenny is a U.S. Army Veteran and served our grateful nation during WWII in the European Theatre.
Kenny is survived by a daughter, Karen (Robert) Finken of Zanesville; a son, Patric Leasure of Zanesville; four grandchildren, Andrea (Dave) Keirn of Chicago, Kristen Finken of Cincinnati, Lindsay Ashcraft of Zanesville and Jacob Ashcraft of Zanesville; a great grandson; and a nephew, Alan Leasure.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Eleanor Jean Leasure; two sisters, Rose Mary White and Betty Hiebel; a brother, Hal Leasure.
A dignified cremation has taken place. Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Crematory, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, is entrusted with all arrangements. A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Arizona.
