Kenneth Lee “Kenny” Farrar, 83, of Senecaville, passed away Sunday (May 31, 2026) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

He was born March 14, 1943 in Canton, son of the late John Willard Farrar and Violet Myrta (Finley) Farrar.

A 1961 graduate of Buffalo High School, Kenny retired from Williams & Company and had also worked for several years at Randall Plastics. More recently, he had retired from Rolling Hills Local School District where he had worked in the maintenance department.

Kenny was a member of the Caldwell United Methodist Church, where had served as a trustee for many years.

He loved vintage and classic cars – he was extremely proud of the classic cars in his own collection. He also enjoyed going to car swap meets, yard sales, and auctions.

Kenny was a US Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Larry and Jim; his sisters, Joan Grudier and Janet Murray; and his great-grandson, Cole Thomas Carder.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife, Dale (Barnett) Farrar, whom he married September 17, 1966; two daughters: Tammy (Scott) Piper of Derwent and Trudy Farrar of Dublin; two brothers: John (Wanda) Farrar of Cambridge and Paul Robert Farrar of New Concord; a sister, Marian (Larry) Gibson of Cambridge; two grandchildren: Olivia Mae Piper and Laurel Alyce Piper (Robert Dell “Tito” Jefferies); and his great-grandchildren: Brea Michelle Carder, Lexi Leanne Carder, Otto Bane Jefferies, and Enzo Fox Jefferies.

Visitation will be held Friday (June 5, 2026) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Andrew Thompson officiating.

Burial will be at Buffalo Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded to him by the United States Army in conjunction with the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
